At what age should you begin to take Lipotriad vitamins for eye health?

As we age, like the rest of our body, our eyes need supplements to help them stay healthy. Therefore, eye vitamins should be taken daily starting in our 40’s to help prevent age related diseases like macular degeneration. Our bodies don’t manufacture all the vitamins and minerals that help keep our eyes healthy.

I am a smoker. Should I take Lipotriad?

Studies show that beta-carotene, a carotenoid antioxidant, increases the risk of lung cancer in smokers. Beta carotene is found in Lipotriad through vitamin A. Therefore, smokers should not take Lipotriad.

What is Lutein and Zeaxanthin and what does it do?

Lutein and Zeaxanthin are both naturally occurring carotenoids. They are found in green leafy vegetables such as spinach and kale. It is an anti-oxidant and for blue light absorption. Studies have shown that taking Lutein helps prevent macular degeneration. However, more studies are needed and are going on at this time. Isn’t a mult-vitamin all I need to keep my eyes healthy?

Some of the ingredients in Lipotriad are not found in most daily multi vitamins, such as Lutein and Zeaxanthin. Other ingredients, such as antioxidants vitamins A and B are sometimes in lower doses than are recommended for eye health. Therefore, it is best to supplement your daily multi vitamin with a Lipotriad daily vitamin.

I am lactose intolerant or alllergic to peanuts, are these in Lipotriad?

Lipotriad is free of yeast and milk products, so should not be a problem for lactose intolerant consumers. It is also free of any nuts ingredients.
